The Fridge Song
After learning and practicing the verb THERE TO BE to talk about food, students did this activity for extra practice and fun.
BEFORE LISTENING:
*In the previous class, have students take a picture of their own fridge to be brought for this class.
*Students show their fridges (on a data show equipment) and describe them;
*Tell students they are about to see your fridge (the fridge from the song);
*Elicit which items they believe there are in the fridge;
*Ss in small groups decide on the items and list them on a piece of paper;
WHILE LISTENING:
*Play "The Fridge Song" (You can either show them only the audio, so they don't get distracted or the audio and the lyrics on the powerpoint slide:
*Ss check whether they guessed the items correctly;

AFTER LISTENING:
Students will now have the opportunity to write their own song.
*Arrange them in small groups;
*The last slide in the powerpoint presentation has the lyrics with blanks;
*Show Ss the slides, so they can use it as a model for their lyrics:
*Ss discuss and decide on which items their fridge will have;
*Ss sing the song at the front;
